Knowledge gained in cultural competence, informatics and evidence-based practice will provide educated leaders with the ability to excel in today's complex and changing health care system. We consult with agencies involved in forensic mental health service and lead engaging workshops, trainings and presentations. Current projects and partnerships include working with incarcerated adults, child welfare cases, juveniles on probation, recently released adult offenders, offenders with neuropsychological deficits, animal cruelty cases, and persons facing competency issues.
Applicants without a psychology background major or minor must meet the department's psychology prerequisite prior to matriculation. The psychology prerequisite can be met either through psychology coursework or by obtaining a score of at least or higher on the psychology subject GRE exam. Applicants should state how they plan to meet the psychology prerequisite in their application.

Application Deadlines Due to the competitive nature of this program, faculty are only able to review complete applications; this includes letters of recommendation, transcripts and all other required elements of the application. During this interview applicants will be oriented to the program, participate in small group interviews and large group.
Participation in the interview is mandatory and you will not be accepted into the program without attending. We do not conduct individual interviews for admission to our program. Final selection of the applicants will be based on their performance in the interview.
