The game natively runs at It still runs much better than it would in pcsx2, though, and the controls work fine if you're using an emulated Wii Remote. I dunno why, but I found it a lot harder to get things I painted to detect properly when painted with a real remote than when I painted with a mouse.

But honestly, I don't see Okami being that much better on the Wii. DarkZero 10 years ago 2. The controls are worse especially the waggle , the paper filter is toned down a bit the Wii version's only plus over the PS2 game , and the credits are removed.

DarkZero hit all the changes in his post. If you've played the PS2 version already just stick with that. Scoutisabelle 10 years ago 4. I have both and prefer the Wii version. The Wii Okami is in p and widescreen, plus the canvas filter is less, meaning the colors are noticably more vibrant.

I also like using the Wii remote for the celestial brush, but many people prefer using the PS2 controls. Okami is such a beautiful game, and the Wii version really makes the colors pop out. It just comes down to if you care about that, and which control scheme you prefer. Terotrous 10 years ago 5. It's a mixed bag. About the only undeniable plusses and minuses are that the Wii version has p and widescreen, which the PS2 version doesn't, and that the the PS2 version has the credits sequence, which the Wii version doesn't.

Beyond that they also have different controls some find the PS2 version to be more precise, while the Wii version is definitely faster , and they look different the Wii version is cleaner but less stylized.
